GE Foundation Developing Futures in Education

In 2006, the GE Foundation announced a $20-million, five-year grant to Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) to improve teaching and learning in math and science. A key aspect of the Developing Futures in Education program is the intent to not only support the district through comprehensive math and science programs, but also impact deeper cultural change within the system. More than five years later, and with the support of GE Aviation executives and GE Volunteers, the district has demonstrated significant progress toward becoming a leader in urban education reform.
