Engaging on Human Rights

It is one thing to support human rights in principle, but for a global organization like GE, only actions will ensure the respect of human rights and promotion of them throughout business operations, both in interactions with external stakeholders and in our role as a corporate citizen of the world.

This is why GE has implemented a number of programs. They range from a new 20-minute human rights training video for our business leaders to membership in the Global Business Initiative on Human Rights and the UN Global Compact to participation in the UN Human Rights and Business Dilemmas Forum, which provides a substantial online resource specifically tailored to multinational corporations doing business in emerging markets.
