Employees & Retirees

GE employees and retirees bring more to their communities than just the value their GE jobs add to the local economy. They contribute funds from their personal resources to local nonprofit organizations that work to address a wide range of local community needs. In addition, the GE Foundation matches more than $55 million in employee and retiree giving.

GE people are also personally engaged, volunteering their time and expertise. In 2010, 197 GE Volunteers councils in 47 countries led and coordinated company funding for more than 4,600 projects that addressed local education, health, environmental and community-building needs.

This spirit of community engagement is a part of the corporate culture across GE, improving communities and building positive relationships wherever GE people live and work.
